Use
ATTENTION!
■
Keep fl ammable materials away from the device. Make sure that furnishings such as
upholstered furniture or curtains are at a minimum distance of at least 1 m from the
heating surface of the device. There should be at least 0.5 m of space behind the device.
■
Only hold the device by the handle during operation. Keep in mind that the protective
grate and metal parts on the front of the device may still be hot for some time after
being deactivated.
■
Make sure that the mains cord is laid so that it does not come into contact with hot
parts of the device.
NOTE: You might notice a slight odour the fi rst time you use the device. This is harmless
and will cease as you use the device.
1. Fold out the support foot and place the device on a dry, fl at, fi rm and heat-resistant
surface.
NOTE: The device can only be switched on if it is set up on a level base
that is when the safety switch on the bottom is activated.
2. Insert the mains plug in an easily accessible socket. Ensure that the mains cord is
always located on the back of the device.
3. Align the device so that the heating surface points into the room you intend to heat.
When setting up the device, make sure that minimum distance to other objects is
observed.
4. To switch the device on and to activate the top heating element only, set the off
switch and heat control to the position 400 W; set it to the position 800 W to acti-
vate both heating elements.
5. To switch it off, set the off switch and heat control to position 0.
Cleaning and storage
ATTENTION!
■
Before cleaning, always disconnect the mains plug and let the device cool off.
■
Never submerge the device, the mains cord, and the plug in water.
■
When cleaning, do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners. They could damage
the surface!

Dust off the device housing/protective grate regularly or clean it with a damp cloth if
necessary. Then wipe it off completely with a dry cloth.
•
Store the device in a dry place that is protected against dust.
