Instructions
Warning: a swimming pool can be very dangerous for children. Drowning happens very quickly. Drowning accidents happen very quickly.
Children playing in or near a swimming pool require constant vigilance and your active supervision even if they know how to swim. Always
keep an eye on the pool while opening or closing the pool cover.
1. ROLLING UP
The cover must only be rolled up by a responsible adult following instructions below. The cover must systematically be put back in place even
if you only leave the pool unattended for a few moments.
• Undo all the bungee cords.
• Slacken the ratchet tighteners by pulling on the spring tab whilst turning the handle 180° in order to release the strap from the spindle of the ratchet.
• Remove the ratchet tighteners. Do not allow any of the ratchets to roll up with the cover or else they may damage it.
• Extend the telescopic bars if there are any.
• Position the pulling strap along the length of the cover in its middle.
• Slot the winding square on the operating wheel into the end of the winding tube.
• Roll up the cover using the operating wheel.
Warning: the physical presence of a responsible adult is essential when the pool is open.
Memorise and display these emergency telephone numbers at the poolside:
• Fire service • Ambulance • Poison centre
2. UNROLLING
When unrolling the cover you should check that no swimmer or foreign body is still in the pool before and during the operation.
• Pull on the pulling strap, standing on the side opposite the storage side.
• Unroll the cover fully taking great care.
• Fit the ratchet tighteners as described in point 7 of the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, in order to lock the cover in place.
• Check that the cover is perfectly tight over all its length using the ratchets attached to the widths.
• Attach all the bungee cords to the lengths.
• Store the operating wheel(s) out of the reach of children.
For safety reasons and to ensure the durability of the system, always ensure that the water level in the pool is always at the normal level for use (2/3 up
the skimmers) in order avoid strain on your WALU POOL WOODSTAR, by avoiding bending of the aluminium profiles in case of overload, in summer or
winter.
SAFETY ADVICE:
Warning: Safety is only guaranteed with the cover closed, locked and correctly installed in accordance with our instructions. This cover is no
substitute for common sense and individual responsibility. It is not intended to replace the vigilance of parents and/or responsible adults,
whose role in the protection of children remains essential. On no account may this cover be considered as a surface for walking on; therefore,
never intentionally climb, walk or jump on the safety cover!
Care instructions:
You should clean the cover at least twice a year (preferably before and after the bathing season) using a special cleaning product for PVC fabric. Day-to-
day cleaning is by water jet. In all cases avoid aggressive, foam-producing or solvent-containing products as well as abrasive sponges.
Maintenance instructions:
when cleaning the cover, for example
The whole cover assembly including its fastening system should be inspected twice a year (
). An extra check
will be necessary if the cover has had to be used for its safety function or after a period when it has been subjected to extreme conditions (high winds,
heavy snowfall...). After these different inspections, it is essential to replace any parts showing any signs of damage. As WALU POOL WOODSTAR can
be fully dismantled and repaired, do not hesitate to replace any parts showing any type of defect or wear immediately. In case of doubt, please contact
your pool installer. All spare parts used must be WALTER original parts to ensure your cover continues to comply with the initial specifications, the
warranty and the standard.
Take all measures necessary to prevent young children gaining access to the pool until the cover is repaired or if you notice any malfunction
preventing it from closing and securing the pool.

Specific recommendations for the winter period:
WALU POOL WOODSTAR will also give you every satisfaction in winter use as long as certain rules are followed:
The water level in the pool must always be at the normal level for use (2/3 up the skimmers) in summer and in winter, so you should take precautions to
ensure that the water level does not overflow and get behind the liner (use an overflow) and that the white goods and pipes do not freeze. To do this, we
recommend that you use the appropriate gizmos and plugs, as well as a line of winterising floaters across the width of one end of the pool to avoid any
damage to your pool.
If there is more than 10 cm of snow, you will need either to remove the snow from the cover, or support it using the special snow kit in order to avoid
irreparable damage. Failure to keep the water level "high" will invalidate the WALU POOL WOODSTAR warranty.
It is essential that the bungee cords located between the tubes on the lengths be fixed on pool walls with hooks so as to avoid any movement or lifting by
the wind. At times of heavy rainfall, ensure you remove any impurities deposited in the rainwater drainage grate to them becoming obstructed and pools of
water forming.
