• The kettle is equipped with boil-dry protection;
it will disable itself automatically once the water
has run out during use.
• After using the appliance pull the plug from the
socket and let the appliance cool down. Let
the condensation water fall back into the kettle
when removing the lid.
Operating the Natursaft canning kettle
(a) Enamel / stainless steel canning kettle
with thermostat
(art. 123.230.5 / 123.232.1)
Turn the thermostat [6] of the Natursaft electric
canning kettle clockwise to select the desired
temperature between 30 °C (ON) and 100 °C, or
switch it to the max. position to select continuous
heating. The indicator light [8] will light up when the
heating element is switched on.
Before use, make sure the thermostat [6] is in the
'OFF' position. Then fill the kettle and plug in the
mains cable (don't forget the inlay grid). Next, turn
the thermostat up to the desired temperature and
keep it within ± 5 °C. The heating element will
be switched on until the desired temperature is
reached and then switched on and off to maintain
this temperature.
The kettle is equipped with an alarm switch [7]: in
the 'ON' position (I), the unit will produce a sound
(beep) when the set temperature is reached. To turn
off the sound, switch the alarm button to the 'OFF'
position = 0.
To turn off the kettle, the thermostat must be in the
'OFF' position.

Continuous operation

The Natursaft kettle can also be used with the
alarm switch to the 'OFF' position [0]. In this case
the temperature is kept within ± 5 °C of the desired
temperature, until the kettle is switched off by
turning the thermostat counterclockwise to the
'OFF' position.
Continuous heating – achieving a rolling boil
To achieve a rolling boil continuous heating can
be applied by selecting the max. position with the
thermostat.
• Don't move the kettle when it is filled completely,
as it is very heavy. Use the drain valve to drain
the water before transporting it.
• We do not assume any liability for damages cau-
sed by misuse, handling errors or unprofessional
repair. Any warranty is excluded in such cases.
The appliance is not suitable for industrial use.
(b) Enamel / stainless steel canning kettle
with thermostat and timer
(art. 123.231.3 / 123.233.9)
The timer [10] can be used to select the canning
time (between 1 and 120 minutes) or to put the
kettle in continuous mode.
Generally you will want to select the canning time
with the timer [10]. Make sure the thermostat [6] is
in the off position. Then fill the kettle (don't forget
the inlay grid) and plug in the mains cable. Now you
can set the correct temperature with the thermostat
[6] and select the canning time. The indicator light
will switch on to indicate that the heating element is
on. The kettle will now keep the temperature within
± 5 °C of the set temperature. At the end of the
canning time the timer will produce a sound (ring) to
indicate that the canning process is completed and
the kettle will switch off.
The kettle is equipped with an alarm switch [7]:
in the 'ON' position (I), the unit will produce a sound
(beep) when the set temperature is reached. To turn
off the sound, switch the alarm button to the 'OFF'
position [0]. Most of the time during canning you
can leave the switch in the 'OFF' position. The alarm
will however prove to be convenient when the kettle
is used for cooking.
Continuous operation
Turn the timer [10] counterclockwise to select
continuous operation. The kettle will now stay within
± 5 °C of the set temperature indefinitely. The alarm
[7] can come in handy in this setting to indicate
when the set temperature is reached.
To end continuous operation turn the timer
clockwise to the 'OFF' position.
Continuous heating – achieving a rolling boil
To achieve a rolling boil continuous heating can
be applied by selecting the max. position with the
thermostat.
