• Plug antennas
Connect the two integrated antennas to "Main" & "Aux" RP-SMA connectors.
WARNING : For single antenna application, please make sure to install a
50 Ohm terminator on the "Aux" antenna port. If not, WiFi interface may
be damaged !
• Connect the power supply
The device can be powered up from one or two power supplies (DC 9 to 75 V
8W min.) called Power1 and Power2.
If the WLg-SWITCH is used as POE power source, an isolated 48V power
supply is also required on the power connector. Depending on the number of
powered devices and their characteristics, up to 120W may be necessary
(15W max per port).
The device has no ON/OFF switch. It turns on automatically when power is
applied. Verifiy the 2 leds Power1 and Power2:
Power1 led is ON if POWER1 power supply is ON.
-
Power2 led is ON if POWER 2 power supply is ON.
-
The Diag led stays ON until the device is ready to use, usually in less than
10s.
• Connect the Ethernet cable
Plug the Ethernet cable to one of the eight RJ45 connectors of the WLg-
SWITCH. The connector top Led lights on in yellow for a network speed of
10Mbps, or in green for a network speed of 100Mbps. The LED blinks
proportionately to the network activity.
The choice of the speed, 10 Mbps or 100Mbps, is negotiated automatically
when the link is established, according to 802.3u, but can always be
overridden by the user, with the help of the configuration interface of the
product.
• Modifying the default IP address (192.168.1.253)
From any P.C of the network, run the multi-platform application ACKSYS
NDM application (found on the CD ROM).
Go directly to the next step if the default IP address is compatible with your
network.
Select the device and click on « Configure IP » button.
You can choose an IP address compatible with your network, or activate
DHCP.
• Device configuration
Click on the « Web » button to access from your web browser to the built-in
web-based interface.
