3. Before First Use

1. Remove the Battery Compartment Cover located underneath the scale and insert two "AAA" size batter-
ies (included) according to the polarity markings inside the compartment. Replace Battery Compartment
Cover. When "Lo" appears in the LCD Display, the batteries need to be replaced.
2. Place the scale on a hard, level floor (no carpeting or rugs); a hard surface is required for accurate mea-
surement.
3. Before first use or after moving the scale, reset the scale to true zero by performing the following steps:
a. Step onto the scale for one second, then quickly step off.
b. The LCD Display will show "0.0 lb" (or kg/ st as selected).
c. After approx. 15 seconds, the LCD Display will shut off.
d. You can now use the scale normally, as described in the "To Use" section below.

1. Press the Weight Selector Button, located underneath the scale next to the Battery Compartment, to show
"lb" (pounds), "kg" (kilograms), or "st" (stones) in the LCD Display. Results are shown in increments of 0.2
lb/ 0.1 kg/ 0 st : 1 lb).
2. Place the scale on a flat, level, hard surface to ensure accurate measurement.
3. Carefully step onto the scale.
4. Stand still and distribute your weight evenly on both feet.
5. After a few seconds, the scale will stabilize and your weight will flash on the LCD Display. Step off the
scale; the LCD Display will shut off after about 15 seconds.

6. Care, maintenance and disposal

• Clean the scale with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not immerse the scale in water or rinse it
under running water.
• Store the scale in a cool, dry place when not in use; ensure no objects are placed on the scale during
storage.
Disposal:
Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance to local regulations.
