Securing

Extensions are secured inside the slide. Cartridges

are secured by seating them on the profile of the
extension and clamping them with fastening screw
(tightening torque 8 Nm). The cartridges can be
preadjusted using a scale on the extension and
cartridge. The scale on the cartridge applies to
a central slide position (= 0).
Notes on counterbalancing
To achieve the correct balance, observe the following
procedure:
The tool slide must be set to the centre as shown on
the scale (= 0). The cartridge on the extension should
then be preadjusted to the desired diameter. Further
corrections can be made by means of fine adjustment
using the digital display on the precision boring tool.
The slide should not be set to a diameter of greater
than 1 mm.

Securing

Bridge is secured by four fastening screws
the slide (tightening torque 8 Nm). Cartridge

To provide counterbalance, secure counterweight

delivery piece ➅ for improved delivery of coolant
to the cutter.
The coolant delivery piece is fitted into the locating
bore in the slide and secured using the two tapered
