Position
- Find a site that is as level as possible and is not in
a dip in the ground.
- Remove any stones, twigs or other objects before
you start erecting. Sharp edges not only damage
the awning, but can also be a great nuisance.
- Set up the awning so that it does not catch the
wind.
If your awning stands in the sun for long periods, the
colour may fade.
Erecting
1. Connect the two complete tubes for the awning.
Make sure that each tube has a ground and a tip-
ped piece.
2. Insert each tube with a spike end into an eyelet in
the awning.
3. Slide a loop of the long guy line over the tube's
spike end and fasten it to the ground using the nail
pegs. The guy line should still be fairly slack at this
point.
4. Move the plastic slider A to tension or loosen the
guy lines.
5. Fasten the two short guy lines to the webbing
loops of the awning. Fix them to the ground with
nail pegs. Make sure that the awning material is
pulled as taught as possible all the way round.
Taking down
1. Detach the guy lines.
2. Remove all nail pegs from the ground.
3. Dismantle the tubes until you are left with indivi-
dual parts.
4. Fold the awning such that it can fit into the bag.
Packing
1. Pack the cleaned nail pegs into the bags provi-
ded.
2. Place all parts into the carrying bag; they should
be as clean and dry as possible.
If any parts of the awning are still wet, you should
remove them from the bag and dry them as soon as
possible, e.g. on arriving home.
Note:
Damp parts may cause mould to form.
