Noise filter HIGH
By pressing the HIGH button, noise in the upper frequency
range, for example hissing of old tape recordings, is cut off.
Off-tape monitoring MONITOR
With accordingly designed tape recorders and cassette decks,
for example the cassette deck Dual C 830, the so called off-tape
monitoring signal can be connected
to the amplifier and op-
tionally reproduced by pressing one of the MONITOR
1/2 but-
tons. For this purpose, the tape recorder or cassette deck is
connected to one of the inputs MONITOR
1/2 on the rear.
DIN or cynch leads can be used for MONITOR
1. Each of these
inputs can also be used as a second tape connection for recor-
ding and playback
In the case of MONITOR 1, the input sensitivity can be varied
by 12 dB with the level switch on the rear.
The buttons MONITOR
1 and 2 separate each program source
just connected from the playback circuitry and the connection
to the connected tape recorder is retained for recording. Both
buttons can be released if pressed once again. Moreover, they
release each other. As a result of this, it is possible to record
onto two tape recorders at the same time and to alternately
connect
one
or the other
off-tape monitoring signal to the
amplifier.
In addition, the program source can be reproduced via one of
the monitor jacks whilst a tape recording is being made from a
second program source via the TAPE jacks
Important!
1f one of the MONITOR
1/2 buttons is depressed,
there is no longer acoustic control of the volume.
If the volume
is now increased and the MONITOR
1/2 buttons are subse-
quently released, the volume is suddenly extremely high and
may endanger weak speakers
Tape to tape recording
If a second tape recorder or cassette deck is connected to the
AUX
input, recordings can be directly dubbed onto the tape
recorder connected to the TAPE INPUT and vice versa
Microphone use
A microphone connected via the MICRO jack on the front is
connected to the amplifier input via the button MICRO ON
The microphone
level is controlled with the rotary control
MICRO
LEVEL
and
this permits
mixing
with the program
source selected with the INPUT SELECTION.
The mixed sig-
nals (both
program
sources)
are both controlled with the
volume control VOLUME
Ensure that the button marked MICRO ON is always switched
off (light signal off}, if no microphone is being used, in order
avoid
unnecessary
interferences on the other program sources.
