IMPORTANT
NOTES
• Before connecting and using the transformer, please read the instructions in this manual
carefully and keep it for future reference.
• RCF will not assume any responsibility for incorrect installation of the transformer.
• Please read the notes preceded by the symbol
de important safety information.
DESCRIPTION
The TD 507 transformer can be used for connecting speakers with power up to 50W and
with impedance of 16 ohms on audio lines with constant voltage of 25V. 70V, or IOOV. The
transformer also makes it possible to select the sound power to be delivered, thanks to out-
puts with decreasing transformation ratios.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION
• Make sure that the transformer is securely attached to the support surface.
The TD 507 transformer can be installed inside speakers or in normal electrical boxes using
the flanges on the sides. The attachment screws are supplied.
CONNECTIONS
A
CAUTION
• For connecting the transformer, use only qualified personnel having sufficient technical
knowledge and experience or specific instructions for making the connections correctly
in order to prevent electrical dangers.
• To prevent the risk of electrical shock, do not connect the transformer
fier switched
on.
• Before supplying the transformer, check to make sure that all the connections
rect to prevent accidental short circuits from causing dangerous electrical sparks.
• The entire sound system must be designed and installed in compliance with the current
standards and regulations regarding electrical systems.
Connecting
the constant
1) Connect the audio line wire coming from the amplifier terminal marked "O" or "COM"
to the terminal "O" of the transformer. Pay attention not to invert the input terminal
and the output terminal
2) Connect the other wire of the audio Eineto the terminal of the transformer marked with
the line voltage value (25M
The 25V input can also be used for connecting multiple speakers in parallel to constant
impedance lines (e.g. 8-ohm lines driven by normal Hi-Fi amplifiers). The section "SPECI-
FICATIONS" gives the respective impedance to the primary on the transformer for epch
voltage line (Fig. 2 - page 12)
