Before You Begin

Select a suitable area for server and rack assembly and
use. Ensure that the rack location:
Is free from excessive heat, dust, and direct sunlight
Allows at least 30 inches of clearance at the rear of the
rack and 60 inches at the front of the rack
Is in accordance with local and regional electrical
regulations governing the installation of Information
Technology Equipment by licensed electricians
See "Technical Specifications" in your System Reference
manual for temperature and humidity information.
If you do not wish to install the server into the rack your-
self, contact your DIGITAL authorized service provider. A
Customer Service Technician can install the server for you.
