OPERATION
SWITCH INSTRUMENT ON / OFF
1) Press on/off button (2) to switch unit on.
2) Press on/off button (2) again to switch unit off.
3) After 15 min. without use of any button the unit switches off automatically (Auto-Off).
FUNCTIONS
• Readings are displayed in °C when the instrument is switched on. Press °C/°F button (3) to change
temperature scale.
• If a temperature beyond the measuring range is measured, the display shows „1" (overload).
• Press HOLD (4) to freeze a value measured. Press HOLD (4) again to release this function and show
temperature currently measured.

CHANGE OF BATTERY
If symbol BAT is displayed batteries must be replaced. Switch off instrument, open battery cover, take
off exhausted batteries, put in new batteries (take care to polarity) and close battery cover.

· Please follow up instructions given in operators' manual.
· Carefully read users' manual before operation.
· Do not open instrument housing. Repairs should be carried out by authorized workshops only. Please
contact your local dealer.
· Do not remove warning labels or safety instructions.
· Keep instrument away from children.
· Do not use instrument in explosive environment.
· To avoid electrical shock do not use this instrument when voltages at the surface to be measured exceed
30V DC or 30 rms AC.
· Repeated sharp flexing can break the thermocouple leads. To prolong lead life, avoid sharp bend in the
leads, especially near the connector.
The symbol on the instrument indicates that the operator must refer to an explanation in this
manual.
