4.4 Installation

Installation must be carried out in compliance
with the applicable installation instructions of the
gas utility or the generally applicable safety regu-
lations.
The applicable installation regulations are the
specific national technical guidelines for gas
installation.
Prior to installing the meter:
ƒ
the pipe system must be checked for soiling, e.g. metal
cuttings, welding residues, liquids etc. and cleaned if
necessary.
ƒ
the meter must be checked for signs of external dam-
age before installation.
The meter must be fitted so that it is free from
mechanical stresses.
The fire control valve must not be dismantled.
ƒ
Depending on the type of thread, Teflon tape or a flat
seal suitable for the medium is to be used for sealing.
ƒ
The system must be filled slowly, after which a leak
test must be carried out.
