10 Troubleshooting

9.2 Maintenance intervals

NOTICE
• The specified maintenance intervals are standard values and refer to single-shift operation.
• Visually inspect the wire feed rolls and the pressure rolls once a week.
When using arc welding equipment, always observe the provisions of EN 60974-4 Inspection and testing, as well as any
national laws and regulations.
Check the following:
Daily
• Visual inspection for abrasion or damage to the
wire feed rollers.
• Check all moving parts for functionality and
correct position.

Weekly
Basic cleaning is recommended, and necessary in the event of
extreme working conditions.
Blow compressed air through the wire conduit and check for wear.
Cause
• Motor defective
• Dirt and debris on the wire feed rollers
• Contact pressure too low
• Friction on the cable assembly too high
MF3-Laser Front/Rear
Solution
• Check by specialized personnel
• Replace motor gearbox
• Clean the wire feed rollers
• Correctly set the contact pressure
• Blow out wire conduit
• Check how the wire conduit is laid and optimize
as needed (bend large radii as little as possible)
