1 Introduction
1.1 Overview
Many thanks and hearty congratulations on your purchase of the SMSB10 BD.
This premium unit, combined with a mobile phone or any conventional telephone, will make life
easier for you:
Remote switching: You can switch devices on and off by calling your SMSB10 BD from
your mobile phone (or from a conventional telephone).
Example: Heating control for you holiday home.
Acknowledgement: You can program whether or not the SMSB10 BD acknowledges each
switching command by sending you an SMS.
Additional features:
So that all users can switch the SMSB10 BD on and off, their telephone numbers have to be
entered into the telephone book of the SIM card used in the SMSB10 BD.
Possible are bistable operation (relay state changes upon each call) or pulse operation
(each call switches the device on for from 1 to 10 seconds depending on the programming).
The compact plastic housing (70 mm width) allows simple installation on a DIN mounting
rail.
The not-included SIM card is installed behind the front cover of the SMSB10 BD and is so
protected from unauthorised access.
The SMSB10 BD has a Switchover Pushbutton with which the relay can be manually
switched (or alternately the pulse time manually started).
