INTRODUCTION

Inspiring the joy of listening

Technical Audio Devices Laboratories, Inc. (TADL) grew from
the spirit to discover technologies to perfectly recreate the pure
sound of life performances with uncompromising craftsmanship.
We have inherited our philosophy from Bart Locanthi –recognized
across the globe as the ultimate sound technologist–who
believed that genuine technology is true to the basic and that
genuine technology places greater importance on sound quality
than on technology for its own sake. At TADL, we are honing our
technology to create equipment that reproduces musical sounds
that evoke both the energy and impact of life music.

TAD Evolution Two Features

TAD Evolution Two is the speaker system by using the
accumulated acoustic technology in TAD's past history and
advanced audio technology in order to realize the emotional
sound.
1. Beryllium tweeter with newly developed
aluminum die-cast waveguide
The tweeter diaphragm of this model is made of beryllium,
which is lightweight and has excellent rigidity. Furthermore,
the semi-dome shape with HSDOM*
ultra-high frequency reproduction. In addition, the directivity
of the tweeter is controlled by the waveguide and the
power linearity is also enhanced by the horn load effect.
The waveguide is made of die-cast aluminum to eliminate
unnecessary resonance and realize clear and powerful high-
frequency reproduction.
2. Newly designed woofer that provides smooth
high-frequency directivity and powerful low-
frequency
The woofer uses a newly developed MACC*
is a composite material made by laminating a lightweight
and highly rigid aramid fiber woven fabric and a coniferous
wood pulp paper cone. Moreover, a shallow curved cone
is used for smooth high frequency damping and directivity
characteristics. Furthermore, adopting a "delta brace" raises
the structural rigidity of the diaphragm, providing rich bass
and clear mid-low frequency reproduction.

3. 2.5-way crossover filter
Incorporating a 2.5-way crossover filter reduces the phase
interference near the crossover frequency with the tweeter
caused by the floor type double woofer system. Furthermore,
it is mounted on a slanted baffle to improve smooth phase
Transition and time alignment. By controlling the phase and
directivity characteristics of the tweeter and woofer crossover,
we have achieved both natural attenuation and dispersion
patterns in all frequency bands.

4. "SILENT
Enclosure" for low resonance
Using high-rigidity birch plywood braces and combining
them with high internal loss MDF panels creates a SILENT
enclosure that achieves high strength and low resonance.
Furthermore, the 10mm thick structural steel plate with
superior high density and strength is used for the base,
providing stable installation and a low center of gravity that
reduces unnecessary resonance.

5. Bi-Directional ADP
A port for bass reflex operation is installed at the bottom of the
enclosure. The horn-shaped openings in the front and back
reproduce natural and rich low frequencies.
