3. Set switch 9 to "pulse off" position
4. Gas test: Switch on the device with switch 17, open the bottle screw of the
argon bottle and set the appropriate gas flow on the pressure reducer. When the
button on the burner is pressed, the solenoid valve in the device must open and the
gas must run out of the burner nozzle,
5. Select the welding process, see below,
6. The tip of the tungsten electrode should normally be pulled out 5 mm and 2-3
mm away from the weld when welding. Press the switch on the torch to start
welding.
Note: When switch 11 is set to "2T" during welding, the torch switch must be pressed at all
times during welding, and in "4T" mode, press the switch briefly only at the beginning and
end of welding.
7. At the end of welding, release the torch switch, the welding current is gradually
reduced (the time is adjustable) and the arc goes out. Hold the torch over the weld for
a while after welding, the shielding gas prevents air from entering the heated weld
and thus prevents the weld from oxidizing.
8. When the welding process is complete, close the argon cylinder and turn off the
welding machine.
1.3 PULSE DC TIG WELDING
Pulse welding is different from continuous (DC) welding. The base and pulse welding
currents are interconnected and alternate. The flow curve is shown in the following sketch. Ip
and Ib and their continuous time tp and tb se can be regulated in accordance with the
requirements. The amplitude value of the welding current is with a certain frequency change
periodically. Choose the pulse mode for welding thinner welds where a larger one is required
temperature control.
1. Set switch 9 to "Pulse ON"
2. Use switches 3 to select the parameter from the welding curve you want to set
and then button 12 set the desired value.
