Thank you for selecting the MCE 91 vocal condenser microphone.
Please take some time to read carefully through this product
information before setting up the equipment.
Applications
The MCE 91 is ideal for studio, stage and home recording. It can
reproduce high sound pressure levels up to 139 dB. The MCE 91 can
be used handheld or on a stand with the supplied clip.
Connection and Powering
The MCE 91 is equipped with a 3-pin XLR-plug. It can be
connected to any microphone input supplying phantom power
between 12 and 48 volts.
Setting up
The cardioid polar pattern gives high-gain-before-feedback.
This is particularly important when using wedge or side-fill monitor
systems. To achieve maximum gain-before-feedback, the wedge
monitor should be positioned behind the microphone.
In order to avoid "pop" sounds hold the microphone below the
mouth at a slight angle.
Maintenance
For cleaning the microphone shaft and basket use a soft, damp
cloth. If necessary use a mild cleansing agent (such as washing-up
liquid), no solvent agents and take care not to allow any water drops
into the transducer element.
As soon as your microphone sounds dull you should clean the integrated
pop shield:
1. Unscrew the microphone
2. Remove the foam pop
basket counter clockwise.
shield (use tweezers if
necessary)
