Lithium batteries
Connect the battery to the 9-pin connector as shown in the chapter Battery Connection. The cell number,
battery voltage, battery type and remaining capacity in % are displayed immediately.
EN
Press the TYPE button to select the type of battery (LiPo, LiIo, LiFe or LiHV). With the CELL button you can
now switch between the total voltage and the single cell voltages of the battery.
Pressing the MODE button displays the highest cell voltage and the associated cell. Another press indicates
the lowest cell voltage, as well as the voltage difference.
NiXX batteries
Connect the battery to the 3-pin connector as shown in the chapter Battery Connection. The cell number,
battery voltage, battery type and remaining capacity in % are displayed immediately. If a LiXX battery is con-
nected at the same time, press TYPE to switch to the NiXX.
Press the TYPE button to select the type of battery (NiMH or NiCd). Use the CELL key to adjust the number
of cells, if necessary, so that the remaining capacity is displayed correctly.
Discharge or Balance Lithium batteries
Connect the battery to the 9-pin connector as shown in the chapter Battery Connection. Now press and
hold the MODE button for about 2 seconds to switch to the balancer discharge mode Discharge. If the cell
voltage is already below the set discharge voltage (factory setting 3.7 V), the process stops with a warning
sound and the battery can not be balanced.
If the voltage is above, the balancer discharge process starts. During the balancer discharge, press and hold
the MODE button again for about 2 seconds to switch to the Balancer mode (without discharging) - the
display shows alternately Min - Max. Here, the battery is not discharged to the pre-set discharge voltage,
but only all cells are matched (= balanced) to the lowest single cell voltage.
When the process is finished, a beep sounds. Disconnect the battery from the battery checker.
Servo Test
Connect the battery to the 3-pin connector as shown in the chapter Battery Connection, negative pole
upwards (NiXX).
Note: If the voltage is below 4 or above 6 V, the servo test can not be started.
WARNING: check the maximum voltage of the connected servo and do not connect a voltage source
with higher voltage to supply, because this can destroy your servo -fire and explosion hazard!
Now connect your servo to the opposite socket SERVO TEST, also here the negative pole upwards.
Press and hold the CELL key min. for 2 seconds to enter the SERVO TEST mode. In manual mode, the servo
is now moved in the range of 500 - 2500us or 1000 - 2000us via the rotary wheel (this range is set in advance
in the parameter menu). Press CELL again to switch to automatic mode. You can now set the speed of the
test cycle using the rotary wheel. Press CELL again, the servo goes to neutral (1500us).
ESC Test
Connect your ESC to the socket SERVO TEST, the negative pole upwards.
WARNING: Do not connect any additional power source, the Battery Checker is supplied with voltage
by the speed controller - risk of fire and explosion!
Press and hold the CELL key min. for 2 seconds to enter the SERVO TEST mode. In manual mode, the ESC
is now moved in the range of 500 - 2500us or 1000 - 2000us via the rotary wheel (this range is set in advance
in the parameter menu). Press CELL again to switch to automatic mode. You can now set the speed of the
test cycle using the rotary wheel. Press CELL again, the ESC goes to neutral (1500us).
