Inserting battery into the ir remote control, change of battery
In general, it is possible to operate the IR remote control with re-
chargeable batteries.
Due to the lower voltage of rechargeable batteries (rechargea-
ble batteries = 1.2 V, batteries = 1.5 V), the operating time can be
shorter.
If you want to use rechargeable batteries despite these limitations,
we recommend the use of NiMH batteries with low self-discharge.
• Open the battery compartment, remove the battery compartment lid.
• Insert two Micro/AAA batteries, with the correct polarity (pay atten-
tion to plus/+ and minus/-), see the signs in the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment again.
• The battery needs replacing if the range between the IR remote con-
trol and table fan decreases or the table fan no longer reacts to the IR
remote control.
Start-up
• Place the table fan on a level, firm and sufficiently large area. Protect
valuable furniture surfaces by using a suitable mat to prevent scratch-
es, pressure points or discolourations.
• Connect the power plug to a protective ground mains socket.
Operation
The table fan can be operated with the control buttons at the foot
of the table fan as well as with the included IR remote control.
This buttons on the table fan and the IR remote controlled have
identical labelling.
a) Switching on/off
Briefly press the "
" to switch the table fan or or off. After switching
on, the table fan always runs with fan speed "3".
b) Selecting the fan speed
By pressing the "
" button briefly several times you can select the
different fan speeds (1, 2 or 3). Depending on the fan speed, the cor-
responding symbol (G) in the display shows one, two or three rotor
blades.
c) Selecting the turbo speed
Briefly press the "
" button to activate or deactivate the full power
of the table fan.
d) Setting the timer
Briefly press the "
" button several times to set the timer. The func-
tion is shown in the display:
"FU" displayed
Continuous operation (timer switched off)
"1"...."10" displayed The table fan switches off automatically after
1...10 hours
e) Oscillation on/off/changing the direction of rotation
The oscillation (motor drive for the fan grid) can be controlled with the
"
" button.
By pressing the button briefly several times, the oscillation can be
switched on/off and the direction of rotation can be changed.
The slanted blades of the fan grid cause a deflection of the air;
when oscillation is activated, the air is distributed widely in the
room.

b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (battery ordinance) to return
all used batteries and rechargeable batteries; it is not permitted to dis-
pose of batteries with normal household waste.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries and coin cells can be returned
to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batter-
ies/rechargeable batteries/coin cells are sold.
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the pro-
tection of the environment.
