4. Safety instructions for the use of the lifting magnet:
• Read the operating instructions before using it
• Do not use the hoisting device to lift and transport people
• Do not lift loads while people are walking in the manoeuvring space
• Do not walk, stop, operate or manoeuvre beneath the lifted load
• Do not let untrained personnel or children 16 or younger use the hoisting device
• Do not use the hoisting device without proper working garnments or individual protection devices
• Do not leave the lifted load unattended
• Do not use the hoisting device or operations which differ from the prescribed ones
• Make sure the load does not sway during transportation
• Do not reach the area of "end of run" at full speed when moving the load
• Do not magnetize the lifter before setting it on the load
• Do not hoist load before locking the manual control lever in mag position
• Do not hoist load weighing more than lifter capacity
• Do not hoist load with dimensions exceeding those shown on lifter nameplate or in manual
(see performance sheet)
• Always position the magnet in the center of gravity of the load and transport the load horizontally
• Do not handle load before making sure of perfect magnetic hooking. to verify it carry out a test by
lifting the load two or three inches (10 cm)
• Do not demagnetize lifter before firmly setting down entire load on the floor and making sure of per
fect steadiness of load.
• Follow the instructions given in the use and installation manuals
• Check the solidity of the supporting structure
• Make sure the working space is free of obstacles before starting any operation
• Check maintenance conditions (cleanliness, lubrification ...)
• Always use entire lifter pole surface
• Always keep contact poles areas perfectly flat and parallel
• Never lift several pieces at the same time (pile)
• Persons with pacemakers must consult their doctor before using the lifting magnet
