Mechanical installation
Note
Narrow installation situations can cause an accumulation of heat.
· Make sure that the motor has sufficient space for heat dissipation.
· Check whether the MTR−... matches the specifications ordered.
Depending on the order, these motors contain a spring−loaded holding brake
as well as gears. On motors without prefitted gears, it is possible to interpose
gears.
· Do not modify the settings of screws and
threaded pins if there is no direct
requirement to do so in these operating
instructions.
· Fit the motor onto the permitted axis
in accordance with the assembly
instructions for the motor mounting kit
recommended in the catalogue.
Installing circuitry
Note
If used in safety−relevant applications, additional measures are necessary.
In Europe, for example, the standards in the EC machinery directive must be
observed.
Without additional measures in accordance with statutory minimum
requirements, the product is not suitable for use in safety−related sections of
control systems.
