USING YOUR KETTLE

IMPORTANT - DO NOT OVERFILL THE KETTLE, BOILING WATER MAY SPIT OUT OF
THE SPOUT.
1.
Place the kettle on a fl at surface.
2.
Before fi lling the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by pressing
down on the lid release button. Fill the kettle past the MIN line but not above the MAX
line. Push the lid back in place.
3.
Position the kettle back on the power base.
4.
Connect the plug on the power base to the power outlet.
5.
Press down on the ON/OFF (I/O) switch, the kettle will turn off automatically once the
water has boiled. When the water in the kettle cools to a certain temperature, you will
be able to activate the kettle again. NOTE: Ensure that the power switch is free
of obstructions and that the lid is fi rmly closed, the kettle will not turn off if the
switch is obstructed or if the lid is open.
6.
Lift the kettle from the power base and carefully pour. Please pour the kettle with
extreme care to avoid burns caused by boiling water and steam.
7.
The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is pressed again. The kettle may be stored
on the power base when not in use. Always disconnect the power supply from the
wall outlet when not in use.
Boil-Dry Protection: Should you accidentally let the kettle operate without water, the boil-
dry protection function will automatically switch off the power. If this occurs, allow the kettle
to cool prior to fi lling with cold water for re-boiling.
*Note: The decorative cover also acts as protection if you need to touch the lid while the
kettle is hot.
