so that a part of the cable forms a loop at a lower level than
the socket. This will prevent water droplets from entering
the socket (Fig.2) by running along the cable.
9) Always disconnect the plug when the aquarium is not
in use, before inserting or removing its components and
before cleaning. Do not try to disconnect the power of the
appliance by pulling the cable, but disconnect it by hand.
10) Do not touch the power plugs with wet hands or touch
the plugs with your bare hands if they are wet.
11) Only use the power supply unit indicated on page 5 and
in the package. Other power supply units cannot ensure
proper operation.

COMMISSIONING
Installation (Fig. A)
The NEWA LED lights can be adjusted to the width of your
aquarium with the freely adjustable extendable bracket (1).
Pull the extendable bracket out of the light housing until it
reaches the desired length.
Electrical connection
Connect the plug of the NEWA LED lights to the socket of the
matching NEWA LED power supply unit (not included). The
matching power supply unit can be found on the packaging
of your NEWA LED light (page 5).
OPERATION
Service life: In order to avoid excessive algae formation,
you should not put the NEWA LED lights in continuous
operation.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

Use with Y distributor
The Y distributor allows you to operate two NEWA LED lights
from one power supply unit. Ensure that the maximum
power output of the power supply unit is not exceeded (see
Technical Data, page 5.
Use with T5/T8 adapter
With the T5/T8 adapter, you can replace traditional
fluorescent bulbs with an LED light. To do so, proceed as
follows (fig. C-D):
1. Push both adapter parts (2-3) until they click onto the
extendable bracket (1).
2. Loosen the end cap (5) and remove the fluorescent bulb.
3. Insert the LED light with the T5/T8 adapter (7) into the
lamp socket (6) via the end cap.
4. Screw down the end cap.
MAINTENANCE
Attention! Before maintenance work, remove
the mains plug of the power supply unit.
Caution. Do not use hard objects or aggressive
cleaning agents for cleaning.
The following sections describe maintenance
work necessary for optimum and fault-free operation.
Regular maintenance prolongs the service life and secures
functionality of the LED light
over a long period.
Clean the NEWA LED light as required.
