Frequently asked questions

Yarns
You can use all kinds of yarns, also yarns of different thickness.
Plain knitting
When changing direction, take care that the next needle correctly grips the yarn and that no knitting hangs on the
black needles (in particular in the case of thick wool). In order to avoid this hold the yarn carefully tight by pulling at
the lower end of the knitted piece and tightening the thread a little bit.
1. Dropped stitch
If you turn the handle too fast, stitches can be dropped. Put dropped stitches back by using the plastic needle.
2. The handle does not turn
a) The operating switch is set up to plain knitting. The stop shows the end of that row and you can continue by turning
the handle counterwise.
b) Remnants of yarn are stuck in the needles. Remove these with the enclosed plastic needle.
c) The yarn has not been inserted correctly. If so remove the yarn and re-insert it.
3. The handle is difficult to turn
a) The yarn has been inserted too tightly.Re-insert the yarn loosely.
b) The needles are damaged: Replace them following the instruction.
c) The yarn has slipped over the needle head. Bring it into the right position.
4. Replacing a needle
a) Unscrew the 4 philips screws of the black ring using a philips screwdriver.
b) Carefully lift up the black ring.
c) Take hold of the red insert from the inside and lift it up.
d) Remove the interior screws and take off the high cylinder.
e) Carefully remove the damaged needle and replace it with one of the spare needles supplied.
f) Re-assemble the parts in the reverse order.
