PROBLEMS & TROUBLESHOOTING
If you experience a problem, here are some
useful guidelines to follow before calling out
an engineer. Please check:
1.
The key switch (2) is turned to the ON position.
2.
The lift charger is plugged into the wall socket and the socket
is turned on. If the lift is not charging, the message 'OFF
CHARGE' will be shown on the status display (4).
3.
There is no physical obstruction stopping the lift from moving.
If there is, a message will be shown on the status display to
reflect this. See status display codes - page 10.
4.
The seat is in the proper travelling position – on a manual
swivel model the chair will not move if the seat is swivelled.
5.
A different control device (16), if it works there is a possibility
that a battery needs replacing in one of the controls.
To change batteries in remote controls
1.
Open the rear cover of the remote control and remove the
old batteries.
2.
Replace them with two new AA batteries, ensuring polarity is
correct.
3.
Replace cover.
Pairing the remote controls
1.
Fit all batteries (two in each of the remote controls). All
batteries are size AA.
2.
Move the lift off the Charge Point, it may have to be done
using the arm rest control.
3.
Turn the lift OFF and then ON (1). You now have one minute
to carry out the below procedure. Switching the lift OFF and
back ON will reset this minute.
4.
For each handheld remote control to be paired, press the UP
arrow and the grey PARK button at the same time, hold them
down for more than five seconds.
Let go of the buttons for less than 2 seconds, then once
again, press the UP arrow and the grey PARK button at the
same time for more than 5 seconds.
All of the LEDs on the remote control will blink to indicate the
remote is ready for 'pairing'.
Finally release the buttons and press the UP button once. The
'pairing' will now be complete.
5.
When carrying out the procedure above for multiple
handheld remote controls, remember that if a remote control
fails to pair it is likely the time limit of one minute has been
exceeded. As stated above, turning the lift off and back
on again will reset this minute and the pairing process can
continue.
