Change collet chuck
Notes
• Only use the cutter with a shank dia-
meter suitable for the installed collet
chuck.
• Use only cutters that are suitable for the
speed of the power tool.
Tools and aids required
• Open-end wrench (24)
Procedure (Fig. A)
1. Press and hold the spindle lock (6).
2. Use the combination wrench (24) to
unscrew the collet chuck (16, 9).
3. Release the spindle lock (6).
4. Loosely screw the desired collet chuck
back on.
Fitting and removing the
parallel guide
Fitting the parallel guide (Fig. B)
1. Loosen the wing screws (7) on the
baseplate (8).
2. Push the sliding bars (17) into the hold-
ers on the baseplate (8).
3. Loosen the wing screws (18) on the
parallel guide (20).
4. Push the parallel guide (20) onto the
sliding bars (17).
5. Tighten the wing screws (7, 18).
Removing the parallel guide
(Fig. B)
1. Loosen the wing screws (7) on the
baseplate (8).
2. Pull the sliding bars (17) out of the
holders on the baseplate (8).
3. Tighten the wing screws (7) again.
Finely adjusting the parallel guide
You can use the controller (21) to finely
adjust the parallel guide (20):
• Tighten the locking screw (20a) on the
side of the parallel guide (20).
• Set the scale ring on the controller (21)
to zero.
• Turn the controller (21) clockwise to
reduce the distance from the jaws (19)
to the cutter (25).
• Turn the controller (21) anticlock-
wise to increase the distance.
• NOTICE! One full turn of the controller
(21) corresponds to 1 mm in the corres-
ponding direction.
Fitting and removing cutters
To insert and replace cutters,
wear protective gloves to prevent
cuts and burns.
CAUTION! Tighten the collet chuck
(9, 16) only when a cutter is inserted. The
collet chuck might get damaged.
Procedure (Fig. C)
1. Press and hold the spindle lock (6).
2. Use the combination wrench (24) to
loosen the collect chuck (9, 16) as
