The product supports LoRaWAN™ class A operation which is a simplex transmission or reception
capability. The reception capability is time limited per the LoRaWAN™ protocol, in order to save
battery consumption.
Le produit supporte la classe A du protocole LoRaWAN™, qui est un mode simplex, transmission ou
réception. La capacité de réception est limitée temporellement par le protocole LoRaWAN™, dans le
but d'économiser la consommation sur la pile.
Operation and control of the product are splitted in 5 main logical components.
The firmware part, that contains the radio driver, the LoRaWAN™ Mac layer stack, and the Javascript
Interpreter, is solely controled by Sagemcom manufacturer. Those components define entirely the
radio behavior, and the LoRaWAN™ stack implements the mecanisms of radio ressource usage that
prevent the product to violate the rules of FCC part 15.
The Application script layer, also called Javascript layer, is the only part under control of the end
developper, or integrator, or service operator. This component has no direct access to the
LoRaWAN™ component or to the Radio Driver. It can only use fixed functions defined in the Javascript
interpreter.
The application script layer defines the usage of the sensors, controls the LEDs, button, and requires
the services of the LoRaWAN™ stack via the interpreter. It also controls the conditions when the
product is active, or in deep sleep mode. Then, the battery autonomy is, except the sleep mode energy
consumption, mainly dependant on the application script layer frequency of active operations.
However, the accelerometer may be used in self-detection mode, with its own power requirement,
while the main MCU is sleeping.
The application script may be entered by the end-user, or any intermediate authorized entity, using the
NFC interface, or, for mass production, directly embedded during Sagemcom manufacturing. For the
