KeYBoard / pedals
The GP1 is equipped with an 88 note, weighed action keyboard with touch response. The Sustain pedal (VFP1) operates
just like a Sustain pedal on the acoustic piano and extends the notes played when the damper is lifted. By using VFP3 pedal
(optional) you can controls Sostenuto, Soft and Sustain of GP1. Note: When using the "Rock Organ" sound, The sustain Pedal
operates the organs Rotary Effect between Slow and Fast. (Sustain function disabled)
nsr
NSR, acronym of natural string resonance, is a special technological feature used in selected GP1 Voices, such as Classic
Grand and Bright Grand. This feature reproduces the natural string and soundboard resonance of a Grand Piano. Whilst many
digital Piano's use physical or virtual models to artificially create this effect, the GP1 is completely natural. To hear this for
yourself, simply play a few high notes with sustain.
Voices
GP1 is equipped with 32 preset voices (non programmable). These can be accessed quickly using the 16 panel buttons. The A/B
button alternates between voices 1 to 16 (grey print) and 17 to 32 (green print). By default the A/B button is OFF and the upper
row (grey) voices are available, for example Classic Grand, Pop Piano, Rock Piano, etc. Selecting the A/B button enables the
lower row (green), for example Bright Grand, Classic Strings etc.
The complete VOICE list is available later in this manual.
dual
Dual mode allows you to select 2 different voices which can be played simultaneously. If, for example, you wish to play the
Classic Grand and Strings1 together, press and hold the "Classic Grand" button then press "Strings1" button. In this way the
two voices will be layered together as Dual Voice.

GP1
If the two voices you wish to layer are in different banks (for example, Classic Grand and Soft Pad) select and hold down the
"Classic Grand" button then select the "Voice" button (to activate the B Bank as indicated by the l.e.d.), and then press the
"Softpad" button. If the two sounds you wish to layer are in different banks but use the same button (for example Fm piano1 and
Fm piano2), simply select and hold the "Fm piano1" button, then select and hold the "Voice" button. In Dual Mode, the slider
Dual/Left controls the volume for the second Voice selected.
Warning: On Dual Mode, Insert EFX of first selected Voice will overwrite the insert EFX of the additional Voice (i.e. Voice 1's
effect gets imposed on Voice 2).
split
In SPLIT Mode, the GP1 keyboard can be split into two different zones at any point on the keyboard, with a different voice
assigned to each zone.
Here is how you set the Split point :
• First select the Voice you would like to use to the right of the split point (e.g. Classic Grand).
• Press and hold down the SPLIT button (led will start flashing).
• While led is flashing select the Voice which would use on left part of GP1 (e.g. Warmpad).
Now you can play both Voices with default Split point as C3.
If you would change Split point press and hold Split button again (led flashing) than press any key on keyboard in order to
assign a new Split point. The new split point becomes effective when the key is released. On Split Mode slider "Dual / Left"
controls the volume of the left Voice .
Note: This function is very useful to mute the left keyboard section when the GP1 is connected to external Midi modules or
keyboards.
Press Split button once more to exit from this menu.
