Making tea
Filling with water:
Open the container lid and fi ll the container
with the desired quantity of clean, cold water.
Caution: Do not put in more than max. 7
cups of water. Close the lid.
Inserting the tea fi lter:
Insert a tea fi lter into the thermo jug.
Filling with tea leaves:
Put the tea leaves into the fi lter.
Compared with traditional tea-brewing, only
a reduced amount of tea leaves should be
used, as the yield of the leaves is higher
when using this appliance.
Preparing the thermo jug:
Make sure to fi t the aroma protection lid
onto the thermo jug before putting it into the
appliance. The fi lter holder should remain
closed.
Starting the brewing cycle:
Insert the plug into a suitable wall outlet and
use the On/Off button to switch the appliance
on. The fi ltration cycle starts.
Switching the appliance off:
Once the brewing cycle is complete, the
appliance switches off automatically.
Removing the freshly brewed tea:
The time the tea is left to stand largely
depends on your personal taste as well as
on the type of leaves used. Take the jug
out of the appliance. Remove the aroma-
protection lid from the jug and carefully lift
out the tea fi lter. Use the appropriate lid to
close the thermo jug.

Thermo jug
∙ For technical reasons, the screw
cap does not make a complete seal.
Therefore, always hold the jug in an
upright position.
∙ Keeping the coffee hot: a thermo jug
accumulates heat energy, and the jug
is therefore better fi lled to its maximum
capacity. If it is only partly fi lled, the
temperature will not be maintained as
effi ciently. If you rinse out the jug with
hot water before use, the coffee will be
kept warm for a longer.
Thermo jug, glass fl ask
The glass fl ask of the thermo jug is made of
high quality double-walled glass.
Any marks inside the jug that may look like
bubbles or scratches do not affect its use or
its ability to maintain the temperature.
To prevent damage to the glass fl ask:
∙ Avoid shocks and large differences in
temperature.
∙ Do not stir liquid in the jug, for example
with a metal spoon.
∙ Do not use hard brushes or abrasive
cleaning agents.
∙ Do not wipe the inside with a cloth. Dust
particles may damage the glass (in the
same way as a glass-cutter).
∙ Do not put in a dishwasher.
∙ Do not use in a microwave oven.
For better insulation, there is a vacuum
between the two walls.
If the glass is damaged for one or the
other reason mentioned above, there is
a risk that the fl ask might implode. This
might happen quite some time after the glass
fl ask has actually been damaged.
Therefore do not drink out of the jug and do
