Service
• Service maintenance of the product must be carried out in authorized service centers. Operation by unqualified persons may result in personal injury and
product failure.
• When repairing and servicing, spare parts and consumables supplied to the service center by the manufacturer of the product should be used. The use of
non-original spare parts may violate the electrical safety standards of the product.
RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION OF THE POLISHING MACHINE
• This power tool should only be used as a polisher. Please note all instructions, images and information provided with the product. Failure to follow the
instructions below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
• This product is not intended for grinding with abrasive grinding wheels and sandpaper, for working with wire brushes and abrasive cut-off wheels. Use of this
product other than as intended may result in product failure and injury to the user.
• Do not use accessories that are not designed or recommended by the manufacturer specifically for this product.
• Even if you were able to attach an accessory to your machine, this does not guarantee its safe use.
• The permissible number of revolutions of the working tool must not be less than the maximum number of revolutions indicated on the identification plate
of the product. A tool that rotates faster than it is allowed to do, can break during operation and cause injury to the operator.
• The outer diameter and thickness of the working tool must correspond to the dimensions indicated on the identification plate of the product. Tooling with
inappropriate dimensions does not provide sufficient protection for the operator and control over the product during operation.
• The thread on the tooling must exactly match the thread on the workpiece spindle. In flangemounted interchangeable working tools, the hole diameter of
the working tool must match the diameter of the holes in the flange. Tools that do not fit your polisher rotate unevenly, are subject to strong vibration and
can cause loss of control and injury.
• Do not use defective working tools. Before each use, check working tools such as grinding wheels for chips and cracks, sanding pads for cracks, deep scratches
or heavy wear, wire brushes for loose or broken wires. After dropping the product or accessories, check them for damage. After checking and installing the
equipment, take a working position outside the plane of rotation of the disk, and turn on the product for one minute at the maximum number of revolutions.
Damaged working tools in most cases are destroyed immediately during the inspection.
• Use personal protective equipment. Wear a face shield or goggles depending on the application. If necessary, use a dust mask, hearing protection, protective
gloves or a special apron that will protect you from small abrasive particles and material particles. A dust respirator or filtering face shield should filter dust
generated during dry polishing.
• Keep bystanders at a safe distance from the workplace. Everyone approaching the workplace must use personal protective equipment. Pieces of workpiece
or broken tooling can be thrown to the side and cause injury even outside the work area. Clean the ventilation openings of the power tool regularly. The
motor fan sucks dust into the case, and excessive accumulation of metal dust can lead to an electric shock hazard.
• Do not use power tools near combustible materials. Sparks can ignite these materials.
• Do not use accessories that require the use of coolants. The use of water or other coolants may result in electric shock.
• When operating in a dusty environment, the ventilation openings of the machine must be kept clean. The power tool will overheat if there is a cooling
problem due to dust clogged vents.
Work Safety Instructions
Kickback (bounce) and related safety instructions
Kickback is a sudden reaction resulting from a jammed or blocked accessory such as a sanding disc, elastic disc, wire brush, etc.
Jamming or blocking leads to a sudden stop in the rotation of the disk, which, in turn, pushes the uncontrolled power tool in the direction opposite to the
direction of rotation of the working tool at the point of jamming. For example, if a grinding wheel jams or blocks into a workpiece, the edge of the grinding
wheel that is embedded in the workpiece gets stuck, as a result of which the wheel may break or cause kickback. The grinding disc bounces towards or away
from the operator, depending on the direction of rotation of the disc at the blockage point.
In this case, the grinding disc may break. Kickback is the result of misuse and/or improper use or operating conditions of the power tool, and can be prevented
by taking the precautions described below.
• Hold the power tool firmly, assume an appropriate posture, and place your hands in such a way that you can counteract the force of kickback. Always use the
auxiliary handle, if available, to best counteract and control the rebound force or torque at launch.
• When processing corners, sharp edges, etc., work with great care. Do not let the blade bounce or get blocked in the workpiece. When machining corners and
sharp edges, there is a possibility that the spinning blade will jam, which can result in loss of control or kickback.
• Do not use circular discs on wood. These accessories often cause kickback or loss of control of the power tool.
• Fix the position of the workpiece in a vise or otherwise.
