It must be operated as indicated in the instruction manual. It is important that the user reads
and understands the information provided for use and care of the unit. Please contact your
dealer with any questions.
The manufacturer takes every step necessary to ensure utmost product quality and safety. However,
as for all electrical appliances, you should follow some basic safety rules to avoid creating a hazard
for people or property. Before using the appliance for the first time, and periodically throughout
its life, check the power supply cord for any damage. Should you detect any damage, immediately
unplug the appliance and take it to an authorised service centre or your dealer.
• Persons with disabilities must always use the device under the close supervision of an adult
who has read this manual.
• Never use adaptors for power supplies different from the one indicated on the bottom of the
appliance. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not handle the plug with wet hands. Never use the appliance while having a bath or
shower. Never immerse the appliance in water: should this occur accidentally, immediately
pull out the plug. Do not remove or touch the appliance under water until you have pulled out
the plug. Do not reuse the appliance after taking it out of the water (send it immediately to an
authorised service centre).
• The casing of this appliance is not waterproof.
• Always unplug the appliance immediately after use.
• A safety fuse located inside the appliance can easily be inspected in case of fault. Always unplug
the appliance before this operation. Servicing may be performed by authorised personnel only.
Any unauthorised repairs will invalidate the warranty.
• Make sure that all connections are properly made and that the anti-spill vessel and the bottle
are properly closed in order to prevent suction leaks.
• Be careful not to knock the anti-spill vessel over while connected to the operating appliance
as liquid might be aspirated back into the appliance and damage the pump. Should this occur,
immediately turn the appliance off, empty and clean the vessel and the bottle (send it to an
authorised service center).
• Do not use the overflow container (6) to extract and store milk. Use only a 250 ml bottle (8) for
these purposes.
• When the protection device triggers, suction is stopped; empty the vessel and carry out the
cleaning procedures.
• The disposable antibacterial filter (where provided) must be replaced within 24 hours of first use
