If you wish to use both cutting surfaces at the same time, the
second pin grid must be inserted, in addition to the integrated
pin grid in the upper-section cutter. To do so, press the
cross-shaped recess on the rear side of the pin grid with gent-
le pressure into the cross-shaped holder on the upper-section
cutter. In addition, the appropriate cleaning grid must be inser-
ted, to enable easy cleaning after the cutting process.
Press the upper-section cutter down in both positions in one
sweeping action. Should the upper-section cutter NOT close
in one pressing action, do NOT continue to press with force
as this can cause damage to the device. Should the item to be
cut get entangled in the blades, remove it by rotating the blade
adapter and carefully squeeze out the food item intended for
cutting. For the removal of food waste in the blades, proceed
in the same manner and remove the remnants with the aid of
a dish scrubber. Prior to using another working surface or sto-
ring the device away, the upper-section cutter must be locked.
Tips:
• Diced cubes: To cut diced cubes, lay the item to be cut on
top of the blade adapter. For a potato soup, for example, cut
the potatoes, at first, into slices. For diced cubes, place
several slices one on top of the other, on the blade.
You can also proceed in the same manner with salad
cucumbers, courgettes etc.
• Stick shapes: To cut stick shapes, for example, French
fries, place the potatoes upright, one after the other, on the
blade adapter, with the upper-section cutter pressed down,
so that they do not slip out of position. In such a way, tasty
cucumber or apple sticks for dipping can also be cut.
Whenever a type of food cannot be easily pressed, then it
is NOT suitable for this manner of cutting.
• Immerse the blade adapter in water prior to starting
work Damped blades cut quicker and require less
force
Nicer Julietti Smart:
Remove the upper-section cutter from the Nicer Dicer Cube
Smart by pulling it vertically upwards, so that the upper-sec-
tion cutter detaches from its side holders. The casing of the
Nicer Julietti Smart will be inserted in the cutting framework
instead of the blade adapter. Ensure that the casing is first in-
serted on the side facing the upper-section cutter. Now press
down on the other side until the casing is audibly engaged
(see illustration 4). Screw the desired spiral adapter into place
clockwise until it engages, with the blade pointing downwards.
Observe the marking on the casing and the spiral adapter.
Insert the vegetables (for example, cucumbers, carrots, radish,
courgettes) into the Nicer Julietti Smart and turn clockwise
with gentle pressure to cut decorative spirals or juliettis.
3 Grating (coarse)/ Julienne grater:
The two other openings are provided for the different grating
adapters. Insert the appropriate grating adapter into one of
the two openings. Press the other side gently downwards
until the grating adapter is audibly engaged. Now remove the
protective cover (see illustration 5). The grating surfaces are
very sharp, therefore, it is sufficient to guide the food over the
grating surface with gentle pressure. Attach the protective
cover again following use. The recessed grips are at both ends
of the grating adapter. From here the grating adapter can be
easily removed.
Grating adapter, coarse: Cheese (for example, mozzarella,
cheddar cheese), fruits (for example, apples, pears), vegetab-
les (for example, potatoes, carrots, celery, cucumbers)
Grating adapter, Julienne: Fine vegetables-Julienne (for
example, carrots, courgettes, cucumbers) for soups or salads
4 Collection receptacle:
You can cut directly into the collection receptacle from any
surface. To do this, pull the collection receptacle out of the
casing, turn it so that the opening is below the desired wor-
king surface and push it back into the casing. Ensure that the
receptacle is audibly engaged. For storage of the cut foods,
seal the collection receptacle with the practical airtight lid.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING:
Fundamentally, all parts of the Nicer Dicer Magic Cube should
be cleaned following each time of use with a commercially
available dishwashing detergent under running water. We
recommend cleaning by hand, in order to preserve the advan-
tages and functions of the product on a long-term basis.
Lift up the upper-section cutter and extract the blade adapter.
Then pull the upper-section cutter vertically upwards. Remove
all adapters and the collection receptacle from the Nicer Dicer
Magic Cube Smart. For cleaning you can also remove the pro-
tective cover from the cutter. To do so, lift the cover vertically
upwards and pull it off in an upward direction.
To clean the pin grid, lift the transparent cleaning grid from
the pin grid. In this way, the cleaning grid cleans the pin grid
of even the smallest of left-over cuttings.
Should any food remnants get entangled in the blade adapter
between the blades, simply rotate the blade adapter and clean
it carefully with your dish scrubber – under no circumstances
touch the blades with your fingers, as there is the risk of injury!
PROBLEMS & PROBLEM SOLVING:
• Solid foods such as carrots, pumpkins or such like should
be chopped! These can be chopped with the cutter. Prior
to chopping with the blade adapters, blanch solid foods in
simmering water.
• Foods ooze out over the surface when cutting and can get
crushed! Foods must only cover 2/3 of the cutting surface,
so that there is sufficient clearance on all 4 sides between
the items to be cut and the casing of the blade adapter. The
foods should be suitably chopped up during preparation!
Should any food become entangled in the blade adapter,
do not apply pressure to it. To remove remnants from
between the blades, simply rotate the blade adapter (on the
non-sharp side) and clean it carefully with a dish scrubber.
• The upper-section cutter cannot be closed in one pulling
action! Check if the item to be cut has become displaced.
Do not apply force!
• Foods become displaced during cutting! Press the item to
be cut onto the blade adapter with the aid of the upper-
section cutter, so that it cannot slip any further out of
position.
• Foods with skin (membrane) can remain in the blade
adapter or become caught in the pin grid! Place such foods,
with skin (membrane), upwards on the blade adapter.
