Recirculation damper AIR1-ULK
An authorised specialist waste processing company must dispose of the unit or the individual components. The appo-
inted contractor must ensure that:

Danger to life due to electric shock!
The installation and connection of the recirculation damper may only be carried out by qualified specialist personnel.
The electrical connections must be carried out by a person who has proper professional training and experience in the
relevant accident prevention regulations, as well as other generally recognised safety and occupational health codes,
with authorisation to perform work on the ventilation unit.
Risk of injury due to electric shock, moving parts!
The unit must be fully isolated from the mains power supply before all maintenance and installation work and
opening the AIR1 ventilation unit!
– Ensure that the multi-leaf damper (optional) has been properly installed before installing the recirculation damper.
– Remove the heat exchanger for simpler installation of the recirculation damper for AIR1 ventilation units in series
XH 5500-8500.
The recirculation damper faces the supply air direction and is installed on the right service side of the ventilation unit
as standard. If the recirculation damper is to be installed on the other side of the ventilation unit, it should be installed
before installing the unit.
1. Loosen and remove the screws in the service panel and the middle frame, if necessary, see Fig. 1.
2. Remove the sheet on the bypass channel. The recirculation damper is installed here, see Fig. 2.
3. Apply sealing tape to the marked damper surface, see Fig. 3.
