REVOXx:
Assembly
The assembly procedure is illustrated on the following
fold-out page containing diagrams with index numbers.
All components of the evolution series have identical
connectors (Fig. [1], [2A, B]). They are used not only for
the mechanical joints but they also establish the electrical
connections for the power supply and the audio signals
of the individual components. As a consequence the
assembly procedure is very simple.
The only cable connections required are:
e
Power and speaker cable on the amplifier.
e
Antenna cable on the tuner.
Basic components
e
Position the amplifier [1A], tuner [1B] and CD
player [IC] side by side on a dry surface as
illustrated in diagram [1].
e — Firstjoin the amplifier [1 A] and the tuner [1B] inthe
direction of the arrows in Fig. [|]. Fix the tuner [1B]
by means of the two recessed screws [2A,B] on the
amplifier [| A] with the aid of the bypacked hexagon-
socket-screw key.
e
Place the support base [3C] under the tuner [9A].
e
Attach the CD player [!C] to the tuner [1B] as
described above.
Additional components, for example the optional
cassette player, are connected in the same way.
Important: The tuner must be the first unit
connected to the amplifier. For the other compo-
nents of the evolution series, the sequence in which
they are connected is not relevant.
e
On the last component one terminating connector
[3A] each must be connected at points [2A,B}.
Important: The Revox LOGO should be readable.
If the connectors bind, they should be swapped.
¢
Place the supporting base [3C] under the far right
component [9A].
Operating unit
¢
Important: The operating unit is to be installed
from the back of the amplifier (connection side).
Do not apply any force to connect it.
¢
Carefully shift the operating unit (Fig. [6]) and the
front of the base [4A] to the front end of the recess
[5A] on the amplifier. Make sure that the keys [6A]
do not get pinched.
¢
Carefully slide the operating unit downward until
the connector [6B] is positioned on the socket [6C]
of the amplifier.
e
Fasten the operating unit with the two bypacked
screws [7A] (hexagon-socket-screw key).
Note: The display can be lightly adjusted when the
screws are not fully tightened. Find the desired
position and retighten the screws to lock the unit
in place.
Remote
control
¢
Open the battery compartment [12] (press the
clip).
¢
Insert the batteries. Make sure that the polarity [12]
corresponds
to the diagram
in the battery
compartment.
¢
Reclose the battery compartment.
