• Appliance plugs must match the outlet.
Never modify the plug in any way.
• Do not use any adapter plugs with
earthed (Class 1) appliances. Unmod-
ified plugs and matching outlets will
reduce the risk of electric shock.
• To avoid the risk of electric shock, do
not immerse the cord, plug or appliance
in water or other liquid.
Extension cables & Class 1
product
• A 3 core cable must be used as your
tool is earthed and of class 1 construc-
tion.
• Up to 30m (100 ft) can be used without
loss of power.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or an
authorised BLACK+DECKER Service
Centre in order to avoid a hazard.

Use
• Place the appliance on a flat, stable
surface.
• Pour the required amount of water into
the water tank (8).
Do not exceed the MAX mark.
• Place the steam tube (4) around the
heating component.
• Place the steam collector tray (3) on
the appliance and fit all other required
parts, dependant on ingredients for
steaming.
• Connect the appliance to a suitable
electrical supply and rotate the timer
dial (7) to the desired cooking time.
• The Indicator light (6) will come on and
the heating component (5) will heat up.
• Due to the small aperture in the steam
tube (4), only a small amount of water
reaches the heating component (5) at a
time. This allows the heater to generate
steam quickly.
Caution: Steam will escape through the
vent holes in the lid (1).
Warning! The thermal trip will regulate the
temperature during use. Should the thermal
trip fail, the element will overheat. The ther-
mal fuse will then blow, preventing further
heating.
Disconnect the appliance and allow to cool.
• Once cooking is completed, rotate
