Intended Use
• Battery operated oscillating multi-tool designed for light to medium duty cutting and
abrasive tasks by fast oscillation of a blade, file or sanding pad.
Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your new sander. Familiarise yourself with all its features
and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing
or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool

WARNING: ALWAYS wear suitable cut-proof gloves when handling blades or other sharp
accessories.
Removing a battery
• To remove the Battery (6) from the Multi-Tool, press the Battery Release (7), then slide
the Battery off the Hand Grip (5)
WARNING: DO NOT try to remove the Battery without pressing the Battery Release button.
The drill or Battery could be damaged.
Fitting a battery
1. To fit a charged battery, slide it into the Hand Grip (5) of the drill until it clicks and locks
into position
Note: Make sure the Battery and Multi-Tool are lined up correctly. If the Battery does not slide
into the Multi-Tool easily, don't force it. Instead, slide the Battery out of the Multi-Tool again,
check the top of Battery and the Multi-Tool battery slot are clean and undamaged and that the
contacts are not bent.
Setting up the battery charger
1. If fitted, remove any battery from the Battery Charger (12)
2. Insert the Mains Plug (13) into a suitable mains socket
Note: The Green LED (14) on the Battery Charger will illuminate to indicate that the charger
is ready to charge the battery.
WARNING: ONLY use this charger to charge the supplied battery or additional purchased
batteries that are specifically designed for this tool.
WARNING: The charger is designed for indoor use only, and MUST NOT be used in damp
or wet conditions.
Charging the battery
WARNING: Failure to follow the correct procedure when charging batteries will result in
permanent damage.
Note: Normal charging time is 1 hour for a recently discharged battery. However, if the
Battery (6) has been left in a discharged state for some time, it may take up to 1.5 hours to
charge.
1. Slide a fully or partially discharged Battery into the Battery Charger (12)
Note: Make sure the Battery and Battery Charger are lined up correctly. If the Battery does
not slide into the Battery Charger easily, don't force it. Instead, remove the Battery, check the
top of Battery and the Battery Charger slot are clean and undamaged and that the contacts
are not bent.
2. Once charging commences, both LEDs will illuminate without flashing
3. When the Battery is fully charged only the Green LED will be illuminated

Fitting a blade or scraper
Note: Blades or scrapers that are cranked or bent must be mounted on the tool so that the
end of the blade is away from the tool as shown in Fig. B.

The battery should be charged at ambient temperatures between 10 and 40°C (ideally
around 20°C)
After charging, allow 15 minutes for the battery to cool before use
Ensure that the charger is disconnected from the mains supply after use, and is stored
correctly
DO NOT leave batteries on charge for extended periods and NEVER store batteries on
charge
The Battery Charger monitors battery temperature and voltage while charging. Remove
the Battery once charging has been completed to maximise charge cycles of the battery
and not waste power
Batteries can become faulty over time, individual cells in the battery can fail and the
battery could short. The charger will not charge faulty batteries. Use another battery, if
possible, to check correct functionality of the charger and purchase a replacement battery
if a faulty battery is indicated
DO NOT store Lithium-Ion battery packs in a discharged state long term. This can
damage the Lithium-Ion cells. For long-term storage, store batteries in a high charge state
disconnected from the power tool
The capacity of batteries will reduce over time. After 100 charge cycles, the battery's
operation time and the maximum torque performance of the drill will slightly reduce. This
decline will continue until the battery has minimal capacity after 500 charge cycles. This is
normal and not a fault with the battery pack
1. Use the supplied hex key to loosen and remove the Mounting Bolt (11) and Mounting
Washer (10), turning the bolt anti-clockwise as you face the Mounting Spindle (9)
(see Fig. A)
2. Position the blade or scraper on to the Flange (2) of the Mounting Spindle, so that the
mounting holes in the blade engage with the pins on the flange (see Fig. B)
3. The blade or scraper can be positioned at an angle not directly in line with the tool if
required, so long as the blade or scraper mounting holes are engaged with the pins
on the mounting Flange
4. Re-fit the Mounting Bolt and Mounting Washer carefully, as shown in Fig. B, ensuring
the blade or scraper correctly sits in the Flange pins as the bolt is tightened. The
blade or scraper and Mounting Spindle can be damaged if the pins are not inserted
into the blade mounting holes
5. Before using the tool, check that the blade or scraper is securely fitted and the bolt
is tight

Washer (10), turning the bolt anti-clockwise as you face the Mounting Spindle (9)
(see Fig. A)
2. Position the supplied sanding pad on to the Flange (2) of the Mounting Spindle, so
that the mounting holes in the Sanding Pad (16) engage with the pins on the flange
(see Fig. C)
3. The Sanding Pad can be positioned at an angle if required but normally a point of the
triangle base is directly in line with the body of the tool
4. Re-fit the Mounting Bolt and Mounting Washer carefully, as shown in Fig. B, ensuring
the Sanding Pad correctly sits in the Flange pins, as the bolt is tightened. The sanding
pad and Mounting Spindle can be damaged if the pins are not inserted into the
mounting holes in the sanding pad
5. Before using the tool, check that the Sanding Pad is securely fitted and the bolt is
tight
