Setting of the workpiece support height:
Insert the adjustable support (1) into the mobile support (2) and use the star grip (2.1)
for clamping. Always ensure sufficient clamping force.
Then place the workpiece support with rubber plate (3) on the adjustable support (1).
Adjust the adjustable support (1) so that the upper edge of the rubber plate
of the workpiece support (3.1) is flush with the upper edge of the installed
die = "Level A" (see detail A in Fig.1)
Swivel arm (5) insertion:
Lift the workpiece support (3).
Place the clamping ring with knurled screw (4) on the adjustable support (1).
Fix the clamping ring in height with the knurled screw as shown in detail B in Fig.1.
Insert the swivel arm (5) vertically from the top in the adjustable support (1) as shown
in the Fig.
Make sure that the swivel arm can be folded in.
Secure the "free end" of the swivel arm (5) with the fitting screw (6) on the attachment
block (7). The fitting screw may only be tightened with a torque of max. 10 Nm.
Reposition the workpiece support with rubber plate (3) on the adjustable support (1).
Proceed in the same way with the second support.

8. Code of Practice

Caution:
The door support can only be used when the die is installed at the bottom and the punch is at the top.
Make sure that both star grips (2.1) on the mobile supports (1+2) are tightened
according to the weight of the workpiece!

8.1 Positioning of the Workpiece on the Workpiece Support

To prevent accidents caused by tipping or falling workpieces, it is absolutely necessary to
observe the center of gravity of the workpiece during workpiece handling!
Caution:
Make sure that the workpiece is centered on the workpiece support with rubber plate.
Make sure that the workpiece supports are positioned parallel to each other and at a distance „of more than half the workpiece length".
Check if the assistance of a second person is useful or necessary when handling large and heavy workpieces.

8.2 Processing of Flanged Sheets

The following applies to häwa bow punches:
The processing of flanged sheets up to 35 mm is possible without restrictions
The flanging can face either to the top or bottom.
Information: The processing of flanged workpieces is restricted by the structural design of the bow punch.
The following advantages result when positioning the workpiece with the flanged side facing upwards:
Cut-outs can be made with a smaller distance to the outer edge.
The workpiece can remain on the support during the tool change.
