Select a suitable location that can support the weight of the fixture. Determine the method for mounting the fixture before
drilling, based on the type of ceiling.
1. Shut off power at the electrical panel before beginning the installation.
2. To remove the diffuser (B), slide the latch sideways to the Open position to unlock it and lift the latch side of the diffuser
(B) off of the fixture body (A).
3. Squeeze the wire cover (C) sides together and lift to remove it from the fixture body (A). Unplug the terminal ground wire
(D).
4. Hold the fixture body (A) up to the mounting surface to determine which knock out hole to use for wiring the fixture.
5. Mark two keyhole locations on the mounting surface. The distance between the two keyholes is 40-inches.
6. Drill a 3/4-in. pilot hole into the screw locations marked on the ceiling. You
can also use an awl or nail to dimple the screw holes.
7. Install a toggle bolt (G) in each drilled mounting hole, but do not tighten fully.
note: Drill 1/8 in. pilot holes into the marked drywall mounting location
and install drywall anchors (not included) and mounting screws (not
included) in each drilled mounting hole instead of using toggle bolts.
8. Using a screwdriver, punch out one of the 2 large knock out holes in the
fixture body (A) for wiring, based on the installation position.
note: If planning to link two fixtures together by using the continuous
mounting method, then also punch out one of the knock out holes at one end
of the fixture body (A).
9. Feed the electrical wires from the fixture body (A) through the open knock
out hole. The wires can be held in place by the metal tabs, if needed.
10. Feed the electrical wires through the mounting bracket (E).
note: If planning to continuously mount multiple fixtures using a single
power source, feed the electrical wires from the electrical box through the
center of the mounting bracket (AA) and then through the open knock out
hole in the fixture housing (A).
11. Connect the hot and neutral (black and white) wires from the electrical box
to the same color wires from the fixture body (A).
12. Connect the ground wire from the electrical box to the green wire from the
fixture body (A).
13. If a 0-10v dimming circuit is available, connect the purple and gray wires
from the fixture body (A) to the same color wires in the electrical box.
14. Tuck the wires back inside the electrical box (If not using the continuous
mounting method).
15. Mount the mounting bracket (E) to the electrical box using the 2 electrical
box screws (F).
16. Align the two mounting keyholes on the fixture body (A) with the two toggle
bolts (G) in the ceiling.
17. Once the toggle bolt heads are through the large ends of the keyholes, slide
the fixture body (A) to the left until the heads of the toggle bolts (G) slide into
the narrow ends of the keyholes.
note: The toggle bolts (CC) are only to be used for mounting the fixture to
plaster or drywall surfaces. If mounting to another type of surface, please
replace the toggle bolts (CC) with the appropriate type of mounting hardware
(not included).
18. Finish tightening the toggle bolts (G) until the fixture body (A) is tightly
secured to the mounting surface.
19. Reconnect the terminal ground wire (D).
20. Snap the wire cover (C) onto the fixture body (A).
21. Place the diffuser (B) back onto the fixture body (A) and slide the latches to
lock the diffuser (B) in place.
22. Restore the power to the electrical box.
23. Turn on the light switch to activate the fixture.
