MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
B 1 10mm Coupling Packer
C 8 M12 x 35 x 1.75mm Bolts, Nyloc Nuts, 16 Flat Washers (30mm O.D) and 4 Bolt Caps
D 2 Side Plates
F 2 Mounting plates (black underrun bar models only)
G 2 Angle Cleat
H 2 Captive nut strap
J 8 M12 x 40 x 1.75mm Bolts, 6 Nyloc Nuts, 8 Flat Washers (30mm O.D) and 2 Special Nut Retainers with
Square Nuts.
K 4 M16 x 40 x 2.0mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Bolt Caps
CB 2 M16 x 60 x 2.0mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
EP 1 ZEP 6 – High Clearance electrical plate
FITTING
1. Where fitted remove black underrun bar.
2. On models fitted with the stainless steel rear bar remove the bolts securing it to the vehicle chassis and discard
the spacer plates and bolts.
3. Assemble Special Cage Nuts (J) as shown on separate fitting instruction to Nut Straps (H). Loosely attach Side
Plates (D) to existing forward holes (J) in the chassis with Nut Straps (H) fitted inside chassis and Bolts (J) with
Flat washers fitted outside.
4. Loosely secure Side Plates (D) and where fitted the stainless steel rear bar sidearm to existing holes in chassis
using 3 Bolts (J) each side with flat washers fitted on the outside face of the chassis.
5. Loosely attach Cleats (G) to the Side Plates (D) and to the underside of the chassis using Bolts (C) with flat
washers.
6. For models fitted with the stainless steel rear bar attach the Cross Bar (A) to the Side Plates (D) using Bolts (H).
7. For models fitted with the black underrun bar attach the Cross Bar (A) to the Side Plates (D) using Bolts (H) and
Mounting plates (F) as shown below. Loosely attach the black underrun bar to the Mounting Plates (F) using bolts
(C) with Flat washers.
8. Ensuring assembly is aligned correctly to vehicle body fully tighten all bolts.
(Note: This towbar must be used with either a Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S'
value greater than or equal to that of the towbar may also be used with universal couplings Z46 and Z32)
Please refer to vehicle specification for trailer weight and nose load limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200
Nm Grade 10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
