Zone volume control
By means of this input the volume of zones 1 and 2 can be attenuated. The volume control can be
realised in two different ways:
Supplying an external voltage
When a positive voltage is supplied between the tip and the shielding of the cinch-connectors the
volume will be attenuated.
It is possible to invert the input control range to interface with different systems.
The range is 0...-80dB, or –80...0dB with an input range of 0...10V.
To invert the input control range the Ace has to be opened. Directly behind the cinch connectors
four jumpers can be found. By replacing these jumpers the steering will be inverted.
Connecting a potentiometer
It is also possible to connect a potentiometer between the tip and the shielding to one of the cinch
connectors. The attenuation ranges from 0...-80dB. A special module is available for this purpose.
Instead of this module a 10kOhm linear potentiometer can also be used.
