GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This product must be grounded. If this product should malfunction,
grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to
reduce the risk of electric shock.
Hardwired EVSE Grounding
The hardwired IQ EV Charger is equipped with three service
conductors shielded by three feet of flexible conduit. This product
must be connected to a grounded, metal, permanent wiring system,
or an equipment-grounding conductor must be run with the circuit
conductors and connected to the ground lead on the product.
Plug-in EVSE Grounding
The plug-in IQ EV Charger is equipped with a supply cord having an
equipment grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must
be plugged into an appropriate receptacle that is properly installed
and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment
grounding conductor may result in a risk of electric shock.
Check with a qualified electrician if doubt exists as to
whether the product is properly grounded. DO NOT modify
the plug provided with the product – if it does not fit the
outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
