3.1 Troubleshooting
If a malfunction occurs when using of the device, proceed as follows to
isolate the cause of the problem:
1. Check the condition of the battery.
2. Go over the operating instructions to detect any possible operating errors.
3. Check and test the probes to detect any disconnected or random
connections.
4. Check and test the fuse. If it needs to be replaced, use one with a
suitable rated capacity.
3.2 Replacing the battery and the fuses
WARNING :
To prevent any risk of electrical shocks, switch off the multimeter and all
other devices or circuit to be tested and disconnect the test cords before
removing the rear compartment
3.2.1 Replacing the battery
1. Remove the screws from the rear compartment and open it carefully.
2. Remove and disconnect the old battery from the device and replace it
with a new one. Wind the extra length of wire around the battery clip.
Install the battery and replace the cover.
CAUTION :
Not switching off the multimeter before installing the battery can damage the
instrument and the battery if it is not connected correctly to the multimeter.
