Before first Use
Unpack the infrared thermometer and check it for any damage in
transit. Dispose of packaging materials or store them out of reach of
children. Plastic bags etc. may become a deadly toy for children!
Inserting/Replacing the Batteries
1. The battery compartment is located inside
the handle (4) of the infrared thermometer.
Pull the battery compartment cover (the
black part of the handle) forward to open
the battery compartment.
2. Insert a new 9 V battery of the type 6LR61
into the battery compartment. To do so
connect the electric contacts of the battery
to the contacts of the battery clip.
3. Close the battery compartment.
Replace the battery when the battery indicator icon (5)
pears on the display.
Temperature Measurements
1. Before measuring, make sure the infrared sensor (2) is clean and
without any damage.
2. Direct the opening of the infrared sensor in front of the object to
be measured. Press the measuring trigger (3) to switch on the
thermometer and to start measuring. Press the trigger for at least
0.5 seconds to get accurate measuring results. The infrared
thermometer displays the current temperature measurement. The
word SCAN (7) indicates a measuring process.
3. Shortly press the trigger for a single measurement. The meas-
ured value is locked on the display. The word HOLD (11)
appears.
