To operate, connect to properly polarized outlet only. Match wide blade of plug to wide slot and fully
insert. Be sure to plug into a 120V AC, 60Hz outlet. This heater will not operate until the unit is
plugged in.
YOUR HEATER IS EQUIPPED WITH 5-CONTROL SETTINGS AND A THERMOSTAT.
Po wer off
LOW heat setting
HIGH heat setting
LOW with oscillation
HIGH with oscillation
Heat Setting Control: Set the power and setting control switch to HIGH for fast warm-up of a room
the thermostat to maximum. Once the room is comfortable, slowly rotate the thermostat
counterclockwise until the heater shuts off. The thermostat will now maintain the temperature by
cycling the heater on or off. Once the room is comfortable, select a lower power setting to reduce
electrical consumption and to prevent the room from becoming too warm. During particularly cold
weather, the LOW power setting may be insufficient to satisfy the thermostat. Select a higher
setting for these periods.
Oscillation: Your heater is equipped with an oscillation feature. If you want to obtain a wider area
of heat circulation, use the oscillating feature for LOW heat oscillation and for HIGH heat oscillation.
Power Light: This fan heater is equipped with a power light, which glows whenever the heater is
plugged in and turned on. It will continue to glow even if the thermostat has cycled the heating
elements off. This feature is to prevent you from being unaware that the heater is operating and
maintaining the temperature of the room. When you do not wish the heater to control the room
temperature, turn the control switch to OFF and remove the plug from the electrical outlet.
SAFETY FEATURES OF THIS HEATER
Tip-Over Switch: As a safety measure, the unit will shut off in the event of it being knocked over.
Should this occur, simply turn the heater off and stand it back up to a regular upright position, then
switch it back on.
Thermal Cut Off Protection: When the unit reaches high temperatures, the heater's non-self-
resetting thermal cut-off will shut off temporarily. If this occurs, turn the heater off, unplug it, and
inspect and remove any objects on or adjacent to the heater that may cause high temperatures.
Wait 10 to 20 minutes for the unit to cool down. Then plug it back in, and resume the normal
operation.
Safety Grille: The heater is equipped with a safety grille to protect the heater element. This part of
the heater can get extremely hot. Do not block this grille as it could cause fire.
