MAINTENANCE

Brake adjustment

The scooter has front and rear disc brakes, for safety, please check their operation every 3 months.
You have 2 adjustment levels:
Level 1 - Adjust the brake cable tension at the handle
Before adjusting the brake cable tension, make sure that the adjusting knob on the lever is fully screwed in.
It is a lock nut system.
Loosen the cable clamp screw, tension the cable and moderately tighten the clamp screw. You can also hold the cable
with a universal pliers or a multigrip pliers while tightening.
Now test the brake lever free play:
• The brake is too hard: loosen the clamping screw a little, then press the lever lightly, until you reach the clearance you
like. Finally tighten the clamping screw to lock the cable.
• The brake is too soft: if your brake needs a little more cable tension, use the dial to fine-tune the adjustment. Otherwise,
perform the cable tension operation again.
Level 2 - Adjust the brake cable tension at the wheel
You can adjust the cable tension at the wheel, just loosen the screw that clamps the brake cable at the wheel, retighten
the cable then retighten the screw.
Caution: The brakes may squeal, this does not affect their operation.

Chain adjustment

The chain should be aligned with the sprockets to avoid uneven wear, so it may need to be adjusted.
The chain should be adjusted if:
• She's skipping the gears, she's too loose.
To tighten the chain, re-tighten the two axle screws on each side of the wheel.
• It makes a humming noise when you turn the wheel, it's too tight.
To loosen it, reverse the operation, loosen the two axle screws located on either side of the wheel. An adjusted chain
should be slightly tensioned when the scooter is straight.
