Maintenance
Foil Maintenance is crucial for a long lasting and fully functional product. Aluminum threads and Stainless steel
screws used in salt water will create an oxidation process that must be prevented. To avoid this process we
strongly recommend the following maintenance precautions: It is important to disassemble and reassemble
periodically (after 4-5 periods of use, or during periods of storage of more than a week).
In order to keep the aluminum screw holes properly maintained and free from oxidation, we strongly
recommend the use of this product: Tef-Gel manufactured by Tikal, (corrosion eliminator gel) or a similar marine
grade product, that should always be spread around the female threaded holes in the aluminum parts.
Care During Use
Foils are designed to be as lightweight as possible and focus on durability during normal use. Improper use
can damage the lightweight composite wings or the mast and void the warranty.

Ensure you have walked deep enough into the water when starting, to avoid the wings hitting the ground
underwater.
•
Avoid rocky area or shallow water when coming back into the beach, be sure to dismount the foil well
before areas of shallow water.
•
This product is developed for Kiteboarding use only, use of this product on large boards such as SUPs or
Windsurf boards will void the warranty.
