Managing Camera
After the objective and contrast mode is set
and the aperture diaphragm is adjusted to
the proper position (refer "Setting up Contrast
Mode" on page 30), place the sample on the
stage. Adjust the coarse focus knob and the
fine focus knob to get a focused image of the
sample. If the image quality does not reach
your expectation, you can adjust the camera
parameters for an optimum effect.
Adjusting Light Intensity, Exposure, or
Gamma
In any contrast mode (BF or PH), click
the top left corner of the screen to show the
camera parameters.
By default, the camera is in "Easy mode", in
this mode you can adjust the brightness of
the light source by moving the slider of "Light
intensity".

With "Easy mode" disabled, you can further
adjust camera with additional parameters:
Exposure and Gain.

You can adjust each parameter through
any way below:
Enter value in the textbox.
Move the slider by dragging and
dropping it.
Select the slider or input box, and adjust
it by scrolling your mouse wheel.
Operations
White balancing
In BF mode, you can also white balance the
image.
1. Move the white area of the sample to the
optical path.
2. Click
at the top left corner of the
screen, the system start white balancing
the image. When it completes, the system
prompts the result as below:
If the white balance fails, click
repeat.
