5. Low feed sensor:
The JBL PROPOND® AUTOFOOD has a sensor which causes the warning lights (6)
on the lid to flash if there is a shortage of food. 60 seconds after the food has been
refilled and the lid closed, the warning lights go out.
6. Food throwing range:
Select at the selector switch (27) the approximate food throwing range: Position 0.5
M: food is thrown approx. 0.5 to 1 m.
Position 1 M: food is thrown approx. 1 to 1.5 m.
7. Temperature display:
Depending on the position of the sensor, water temperature or air temperature can
be displayed. Press and hold "HR" and "MIN" simultaneously for 3 seconds to change
from °C to °F and back.
Maintenance:
Before working on the unit always disconnect the mains plug and use the On/
Off button (12) to switch the unit off.
1. Dust and foreign matter:
Remove dust deposits on the housing and the solar panel of the JBL PROPOND®
AUTOFOOD with a damp cloth. Always keep the solar panel free of larger foreign
matter, such as fallen leaves, etc.
2. Food debris inside:
We recommend you completely empty the JBL PROPOND® AUTOFOOD at least
once every season (more often, if necessary) and, using a vacuum cleaner, remove
food debris from inside the container.
Due to the mechanical stress of the food particles during ejection, food debris caused
by abrasion can also be deposited on the throwing disc and inside the throwing
chamber. Remove the cover of the feed ejection port (9). Loosen the screw (SW 10) on
the throwing disc and lift it off. Clean the cover, throwing disc and throwing chamber
with a stiff brush. Reassemble everything in reverse order.
3. Changing the Li-battery pack:
The Li-battery can be replaced at the end of its service life.
For this, the complete device must be returned to the service department at JBL
GmbH & Co. KG
4. Changing the solar panel:
The solar panel can also be replaced at the end of its service life.
For this, the complete device must be returned to the service department at JBL
GmbH & Co. KG.
