Switching On/Off - Koba Vision Vocatex Standard 3 Mode D'emploi

SWITCHING ON/OFF

The device is switched on with button 1. Most screens are switched on by the Vocatex. If this is
not the case, switch on the screen as well (see screen manual).
The Vocatex is switched off with button 1. Some screens switch off the Vocatex when they are
switched off.
After switching on, an on-screen bar shows the start-up progress. The Vocatex indicates when it is
ready to be used by telling "the device is ready for use".
READING ALOUD
Procedure
1. Put the text on the sliding table beneath the Vocatex.
2. The text now becomes visible on the screen.
3. Select a text block by placing the text block in the middle of the screen or by crossing the text
block by the column selector.
4. Press button 7 to start the read aloud function.

Pause
Reading aloud is initiated by pressing button 7. To pause, press button 7 or 8. To resume
reading, press button 7 or 8.
Pressing button 7 will always initiate a new OCR process which will take longer. Pressing button
8 will immediately start and pause the text without initiating a new OCR process. We recommend
to use button 8 while using the news ticker.
