power supply, the sensor takes 7 to 10 days to acquire its steady physical-chemical cha-
racteristics and thus a constant level of sensitivity. It is therefore strongly recommended to
make sure that this "period of conditioning" has passed before carrying out any checks on
the activation level.
On connecting the detector, the green LED will flash for 2 minutes approx. (known as
"reactivation period"): during this time the detector cannot test the quantity of
gas present in the environment.
When the concentration of gas in the air exceeds the threshold, the detector starts working
by switching the red LED on. After 5 seconds from the LED red switch-on, the built-in
intermittent sound alarm starts. If, during this time, the concentration of gas falls below the
detection threshold, the gas detector alarm switches off and the delay is completely reset.
The sound alarm remains on for all the duration of the alarm.
Afterwards, after 20 seconds from the activation of the sound alarm, the alarm output is
activated too. This output can control a gas shut off valve or visual-acoustic alarms, as
described in the wiring diagrams.
